First Sebring Church Launches Food Distribution

"For a first distribution, things went exceptionally well. As the word gets out that we will be there the first and third Saturday of every month it will grow and grow.

On Saturday, Jan. 16 we distributed
2,988 lbs of food 
135 homes served
45 children
+ several boxes of vegetables to the New Testament Mission

+ a few boxes to volunteers taking food to neighbors

Most food was distributed to households in the 33870 zip code (neighborhood immediately surrounding the church)

We are connecting with United Way of Central Florida and Feeding America Tampa for 12 months (we expect to extend). Each distribution represents 800 meals which equates to 19,200 meals."
